About Gwilym Livingstone Evans
Gwilym Livingstone Evans (1916-1994) was a Blaenau Ffestiniog based photographer. His collections, which were donated to The National Library of Wales, following is death in 1994, contained a vast number of images of the local area and of local personalities.
Evans’s interest in photography started when he was given a Kodak Brownie camera as a gift by his sister and from 1963 until his death, he supplied many local newspapers such as the Cambrian News and Gwasg y Sir, Bala with photos of different events and occasions.
Many of these images do not have any corresponding details attached to them and therefore are not identifiable.
